Online Safety
Please find below a selection of resources available to parents/carers about online safety.
The organisations below offer advice and guidance about practicalities such as parental settings, as well as information about the latest apps and trends.
It is important for all parents/carers to be able to have informed conversations with their children about their online behaviour, and have the appropriate settings and controls in place to ensure that they are safe online. It is also important to foster a relationship with your child that means they will confide in you if they need to report something inappropriate that has happened online.
Please be mindful of settings and controls to ensure that your child is accessing age appropriate materials and apps. Please also regularly check your child’s phone, including the content of conversations, to ensure that they are communicating safely and positively with others.
It is also important to ensure that there are no devices accessible at bed time and that screens are powered down at least 30 minutes before sleep.
